Seth Foster, President – Owner

Seth is a construction native and has been building most of his life. He has a deep desire to help his clients build their quality, dream home.

In 1997, Seth began his own Northern Utah framing company, where he employed over 75 framers and built over 2000 homes. This extensive framing experience is a huge benefit to his clients because his knowledge is practical. In 2008, Seth found himself unemployed in the volatile real estate market. It was then that he and his wife took this opportunity and American Heritage Homes was born. In 2009, Seth’s brother, Shem moved to Southern Utah and they combined building expertise, teaming up as partners in American Heritage Homes.

His clients enjoy the “planning stage” as he integrates his knowledge into a “custom” building process to provide the ultimate home buying experience. Seth’s philosophy of life is to “lead by example” and he is not afraid to “get down in the trenches” to solve a situation. Seth is known for being solution-oriented, and he sets the stage to ensure a positive home buying and building experience.

Seth is married with three children and he has been a Washington County resident since 2006. He would consider himself the ultimate sports/outdoor enthusiast, enjoying running, canyoneering, hiking, fishing, hunting, four-wheeling and skiing. Southern Utah is his playground and he enjoys the weather, the scenery and the endless outdoor activities.


Shem Foster, Vice-President – Owner

For most of his life, Shem has been intrigued with various styles of architecture and building has been his passion. He brings an extensive field management background to the company and American Heritage Homes is the vehicle to help his clients build their dream.

In 2000, Shem worked for a large home builder as a field superintendent gaining many broad experiences in all aspects of building homes. During his building career, he has achieved many certifications of project management, safety, green building, and consistent quality control which allow him to deliver homes, on time and on budget. With his past experience and passion to create beautiful and quality homes, he is confident in his ability to help the home buyer get exactly what they are looking for.

On a more personal note, Shem is married and has 4 children. His hobbies include anything “active” such as, running, cycling, swimming, hiking, fishing and his fitness accomplishments include many marathons, triathlons, and finishing the 2007 Silverman, 2010 and 2015 Ironman.


Nephi Foster, Superintendent

“My goals include meeting new people and challenging myself in all aspects of life. As a Superintendent with American Heritage Homes, I am able to accomplish both of these goals, and I am grateful for the opportunity to work with my brothers.”

Nephi Foster, (younger brother to Seth and Shem Foster) began his construction career in the field of tile masonry.  Over the past seven years, he has managed automation and measurement operations for a natural gas exploration / production corporation located in Durango, Colorado.  Nephi’s past experience within the building industry, coupled with his knowledge and expertise of precise schedule management, make him an excellent addition to the American Heritage Homes Team.

Nephi met and married his beautiful wife, Serena, in 2009.  They have three sons ranging in age from 5 years old to __ months. In his spare time, Nephi enjoys playing, wrestling and refereeing these three handsome boys.  His other hobbies include hiking, CrossFit – (in which he has a friendly competition with his wife) – and reading books – especially Clive Cussler.


Brent Clark, Customer Care

Brent and his wife Linda moved to the beautiful St. George area in 2013 and purchased a home built by American Heritage Homes. They loved it so much that they had American Heritage Homes build the same home on the neighboring home site for his father (with enough exterior changes that it is hard to tell that they are the same floor plan.) Both Brent and his father left the basements unfinished, later designing and building out the basements themselves. Brent thoroughly enjoyed the basement projects and he was excited to take the opportunity where he could continue similar projects with American Heritage Homes. American Heritage Homes opened their Remodel and Design services in 2014 and Brent currently manages that division of the company.

Before moving to St. George, Brent was a partner in a Las Vegas landscape architecture business. He designed public parks, commercial landscapes and residential landscape projects using AutoCAD software, and had the opportunity to craft structures within those landscapes. Brent enjoys creating unique layouts and structures to fit existing buildings and sites, making them visually attractive while being useful and efficient. Casita’s and gazebo’s are especially rewarding for Brent to design.

The most critical priority in his relationship with a client is keeping them informed of the project progress, and encouraging positive lines of communication.

“My wife and I have two married daughters, one in Northern Utah and one in nearby Kanab, with three grandchildren that we love to spoil. What a great opportunity to live here and enjoy so many things – RZR riding, boating, golf, and exploring this amazing country. We love it here.”


Yvonne Christensen, Interior Designer

Yvonne moved to St. George from Canada in 2008 and has worked with American Heritage Homes since 2010. She has a degree in Business from the University of British Columbia and a Diploma in Interior Design. She was the Interior Design Chair for the Parade of Homes in 2016 and 2017 and also is a contributing writer with her “Idea Board” column in the St. George Magazine. Yvonne was a client, building with American Heritage Homes in the spring of 2012 so she understands the building process from both sides. Yvonne chose American Heritage Homes as her builder because she felt they were “the best value.”

Yvonne’s personal design style has evolved over the years, and enjoys designing all home styles from contemporary, to craftsman, and classic traditional.

Yvonne will generally meet with clients before construction begins to review their plans and do a final red line revision meeting, ensuring all options are defined prior to submitting plans into the city. From there, the fun part begins as Yvonne assists the client in all design selections from exterior stone, to cabinetry and granite, and lighting. Depending on the client’s availability, Yvonne can also create a custom color package. If more detail is needed, Yvonne is also able to create software interpretations of a client’s home to showcase the final selections prior to construction completion or mood boards. (Additional fee may apply.)

American Heritage Homes strives to ensure the selection process is simple and enjoyable by providing many sample selections (within the client’s desired price range) – allowing all selections to be accomplished in as little as one meeting. Or, clients may meet with the American Heritage Homes vendors to go over their selections in more detail. We have a seamless relationships with our suppliers, our goal to help our clients find the right selections for their home.

Yvonne loves what she does and continually looks forward to working new clients on a variety of styles…..”helping them build their dream home is my passion.” If the clients may choose, Yvonne is also available for Interior Furniture Design and Consults.

Yvonne and her husband Brian have two daugthers, Presley and Peyton.

Caroline grew up in a small town in Idaho and loves living in Hurricane because of the small town living. She graduated from Utah State University with a BS in Elementary Education, and went on to teach 3rd grade for 5 years – before having her four children. Caroline is married to Shem Foster (owner) and is also in charge of accounting and invoicing for American Heritage Homes.

She enjoys living in Southern Utah for so many reasons, especially for the quality of life it offers for her family. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking in Zion’s National Park, going to the movie theater, Tuacahn, Country Dancing and traveling.

Bob spent the majority of his life involved in building. Being raised by a building contractor, he learned much about every aspect of the industry. Bob worked with his father and older brother at a time when sub-contracting out work was just beginning to phase in as a new way of doing business. As a result, when his father would take on a job, they dug the footings, laid in the steel, roughed in the plumbing, and they laid the slab. In addition, they framed the homes, installed the roofing, stucco, stone, and wood too. They also built their own cabinets and installed the finish carpentry as well – they completed each job from start to finish.

Bob worked with his father until he volunteered to serve our great country when most were not willing. He served in America’s military from 1970-1974 after which, he went on to college and studied law. It didn’t take long for him to realize that construction was where he wanted to be, so he decided to specialize in stone masonry – utilizing the skills and techniques his ancestors had brought from Europe.

Now, Bob leaves the physical work to the “younger” men and enjoys helping people obtain new, never lived in homes. He is an expert at finding the right location and design that best fits the needs and wants for any size family. One of the greatest aspects of his work writing contracts is knowing that the homes are built with integrity by American Heritage Homes. Bob believes in the company so much that he personally owns and currently lives in an American Heritage Home.

Bob is blissfully married to his beautiful, brilliant sweetheart. They have 3 talented children and two little loves of their lives…their grandchildren.


Nikki Nelson, Social Media Manager

Nikki joined the American Heritage team in March 2016 as the Social Media Manager.

In 1990, she and her family moved to Washington County, where they owned and managed a local pizzeria. Nikki graduated from Dixie State University in 2003 with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and immediately began working with Sunroc Corporation as their HR Specialist. In 2009, she left the corporate world of construction to become a full time CEO of Nelson Enterprises.

Nikki is very involved within the community. She has volunteered her time in various civic and educational organizations, and was instrumental in the resurrection of the Washington County Family to Family Network, serving as co-chair for 2 years. Nikki currently serves as the PTA President at her sons’ elementary school and enjoys the opportunity to “go to school” with her twins.

Nikki and her husband Andrew have been married for 18 years. They have 3 boys, ages 16 and 9 years old (twins.) During this time, they have moved 9 times, driven 11 different cars and Nikki founded her own successful photography business. In her (very rare) “spare” time, Nikki likes to read, edit photos, sit by the pool, or just take a nap.
