We currently live in Evans, Georgia and are preparing to retire in the upcoming summer. We have known for several years that we wanted to retire in the Southwestern region of the United States-in a place with beautiful scenery, wonderful weather for outdoor activities, low crime, and great people. The St. George, Utah area continued to be a place we visited, and last year, we decided to move forward with our retirement plans. Having no contacts west of Georgia, we were faced with the task of finding someone to help us make our dream a reality. Our realtor, Laura Taylor, introduced us to Seth Foster and the wheels were set in motion. We knew Dixie Springs was the area in which we wanted to build our home, but more importantly, we quickly realized that Seth and Shem Foster were the builders we were willing to entrust. Bob Raybould helped us secure an ideal lot, and Design Consultant, Yvonne Christensen, discussed options with us. Over the next three months, we primarily dealt with the American Heritage Homes’ team from 2100 miles away. We were pleasantly surprised at the ease of this process. Seth and Shem were always available to us. Yvonne kept in constant contact through email and phone calls. Her keen ability to understand our interests was amazing, and her ideas and suggestions were perfectly suited for our tastes. During this time, we traveled to Utah twice for our pre and final walk-throughs. Both times, Shem spent time with us walking through our house and making sure that we were satisfied. Yvonne met with us and reviewed our selections. Bob offered his time and agreed to keep an eye on our house. We truly appreciate the workmanship, professionalism, and caring attitude that the American Heritage Homes’ team showed us during the construction process and beyond. We are very anxious to be permanent residents of Utah and reside in our beautiful new home. See Y’all Soon!

We built our home in 2001 # 271 Believe in the scheme of Americans Heritages numbering plan. On poured Walls set to the correct grade and an amazing home. We are 15 years in the home and do not even have a crack in the drywall, which is unheard of. All the hardwood trim is as tight as the day we moved in, 6 panel doors the same. All appliances (Furnace, Hot Water Heater) are still 100% - and best of all NO SQUEAKY FLOORS.If we would do it again - These are the guys !!!!

We are very happy with the home that American Heritage Homes built for us! It's very high quality work; and they involved us through the entire building process helping us know what the possibilities were, but also letting us make all the decisions. We were excited with some of their suggestions, such as making the crawl space by the upstairs bedrooms a "secret tunnel." Our kids just love it! We thought the positioning of the house and windows was well thought out. These guys are true professionals, honest and easy to work with. We really appreciated the efforts of Seth and Shem in helping us get the enhancements we wanted, but allowing us to keep the entire project as economical as possible. Thanks so much for everything.

The AHH team just completed our house in Hurricane in August, 2016 and they did an excellent job. We live in California and when we started the building process, we heard all the horror stories about trying to build a house ""long distance"" but AHH made sure that none of that happened.There were a few hiccups along the way but that's to be expected for this type of project. Communication is the key factor for a successful job like this and, even for the hiccups, they were on top of it all the way.
And one more sign of a professional organization is that, even now, after the job is done, they are just as responsive to our needs and questions as before. They really do care to do a good job!
We can't say enough good things about AHH and their professional staff and will recommend them to anyone who want to build a home in our area.

American Heritage was awesome to work with. We were able to work with one project manager through the entire build. We were able to easily modify a standard plan to fit what we wanted. The owner was involved in the process from Pre construction to the final walk through. We had visited several other builders prior to selecting AHH. These other builders used heavy sales tactics, and/or dismissed us as we did all lot prep. American Hertiage Homes we’re down to earth, and transparent. Thank you for being an honest builder and for our beautiful home!

When shopping for a house we couldn't find a favorite so decided to build and found American Heritage Homes in the neighborhood that we wanted to build. We talked to several residents in the neighborhood and they all claimed that AHH did a fantastic job. So we too had them build our favorite floor plan and we're a week away from closing. They have been great to work with and they communicate almost daily with updates and progress of the home. P.S the builder also lives in the neighborhood. That's been a plus.

Hi my name is Brion Egan and my wife is DeAnna. We are getting ready to retire and wanted to escape the cold Idaho winters that we experience here. We liked the St George area and it was close enough to home if we needed to come back for a day or two we could. We decided to build in Dixie Springs because it was close to a lot of different recreation and liked the neighborhood. We have a close family and when one plays all the kids and grandkids want to come and be apart of it too. We started our original home with American Heritage Homes in late spring of 2012. After interviewing several contractors I felt the most comfortable with Seth and Shem. They completed the home in excellent time and the workmanship and working relationship with them was excellent. Then, realizing after the first outing with our family we had under built and needed more bedrooms and room for the Grandkids, we needed to expand. I was able to buy the lot next to me and asked Seth and Shem to build me an addition onto the original home because we were so pleased with their work on the home. I was a general contractor in Idaho and have been involved in the construction industry for over 25 years. I new what I was looking for in a contractor. Most all contractors have the skills and ability to build and complete the project in a very acceptable manor. They might get to the finished product differently but they will get there never the less. It is the little things that separate Seth and Shem. The addition was very complicated because I did not want it to look like an addition. I wanted it to blend with the original home but yet I had certain ideas of what I needed. They walked with me from start to finish, starting with the design. Their input into the project was invaluable. There was constant communication with Shem during the construction process. He would always call me and ask if it was ok to proceed with a change if it became necessary, also I received several calls with him starting with, "Brion, I think we need to do this, or I really think it would look better if we did this, but always ending with I will do whatever you want. This and many other little things that go unnoticed is what made me so happy with them. Again, their ability to perform the work and their Honesty in their dealings is a fresh and unusual part of the construction industry. My wife Deanna summed it up in one sentence. "THEY ARE AWESOME." I would be glad to visit with anyone who has questions or is seriously considering American Heritage Homes for their next project, Seth or Shem have my number.

We had been looking for a good builder to build our home. We are from up north and were a little cautious about choosing a builder. Our in-laws had just built a new home and when we went to see it, along with seeing the American Heritage model home and the costs involved, we were impressed and approached American Heritage to build our home. We initially worked with Seth to formulate the plans for our home. We also worked with their architect and Seth contributed ideas as we went along. When the building started, Shem took over. He mans the building part of the home. We found both Seth and Shem great to work with. When we had changes that needed to be addressed, they were amiable and worked with us on them. Our neighbor next door watched as the home was being built and said that it was very good workmanship and he was amazed at how fast the home went up. He had built two homes himself. Shem had contractors lined up and it went very smoothly. There wasn’t hardly a day that went by when someone wasn’t working on it. We have had many complements regarding our home. The home has a good warrantee and we have called if anything was not right or needed to be fixed according to the plans, they immediately took care of it. We are really enjoying our new home. We love it, thank you to Seth, Shem and all the folks at American Heritage here in St. George, Utah.

I had heard many positive things about American Heritage homes through reliable sources but didn't know a home builder could meet let alone go above and beyond my expectations. I knew right after meeting with the owners Shem & Seth and their building team that I was in good hands for my very first custom home build. Everything from the beginning stages, they took time to drive me around to several of their existing homes and homes in production to give me ideas on floor plans and then took time to go over in great detail to customize my plan accordingly. Since then I've met in person to go over details for interior: (paint, finishes, cabinetry, flooring, fixtures, window treatments etc.) and exterior options and details (lighting, cement color and texture, landscaping etc.), they've been very thorough and have kept me in the loop of things on a weekly basis! My Mind is definitely at ease knowing I can trust such a reputable team. This has been such a positive experience for me and I'm looking forward to move in day, in my new American Heritage home. I totally recommend anyone building in Southern Utah to come visit the American Heritage team!

For months, we had been looking for housing in the St George area. On one fateful trip we decided to take a spur of the moment drive that proved to be providence for us. We went to have a look at the Sand Hollow Reservoir as neither of us had seen it yet. Approaching Dixie Springs Road we saw all the for sale signs and so we turned east toward the beautiful houses. We were immediately struck with the beauty, the quiet of the area due to the lack of traffic, and the amount of friendly smiles and waves we got from folks there!We went to the first model home we saw and almost bought from another builder but missed out on the purchase of a ready built new house - sold as we were actually on the way to close the deal. Providence number two this was because with the news of having lost that deal we shrugged our shoulders and walked right into the model home of AHH where we met Seth.
We looked at a home they were building but opted out and it was then we started talking about building our own home. We were delighted while going through the planning process because we were able to build a house to exactly the specifications we envisioned. Soon we were watching our dream retirement home being built. From the beginning stages of planning the home with Seth and Yvonne to bothering Shem and Nephi and everyone else through the construction process, everyone was very helpful.
Thank you all at AHH for all the patience, attention to the detail of planning and building our home, and for working so hard to make the timing of the closing happen as we needed for financing purposes. And thank you so very much for the beautiful house we now inhabit. It was an amazing process to behold and we look forward to many years of happiness in our new home.
