“Location, Location, Location.”

According to The New York Times, this phrase has been used since 1926, and still applies
in its entirety today.

Gut feelings, warm fuzzy excitement, and intuition can help guide the process of homebuilding, but…these emotions are typically best served when balanced with sound, factual reasoning.

In addition to the physical “Location, Location, Location,” be sure to also consider the following:

  • Always think about resale.
      • Right now you might be saying “I will never sell my home, I will be here forever.”  Although we understand the sincere sediment of this statement, the actual resale statistics tell us otherwise.  When building, always consider room quantity, placement and size.  These factors will always affect potential resale.
  • Take time to learn about the neighborhood CC&R’s and demographics.
    • Is there a Home Owners Association?
    • Are rental homes allowed?
    • How are the CC&R’s enforced?
    • What are your home owner responsibilities in this area?

At American Heritage Homes, our goal is to help guide you during the process of one of the largest financial investments you will ever make – – the home building process.

We are committed to ensuring your final result is a perfect blend of “warm and fuzzy” bliss, coupled with smart, savvy investment reasoning.

Let’s switch gears for just a minute.

Today is Independence Day – the day we commemorate the adoption of the Declaration of Independence.  As you can see by our company name, patriotism is of the utmost importance to us and the Fourth of July is a day we sincerely respect, honor and appreciate.

In addition, this day is commonly associated with family gatherings, parades, barbecues, fairs, picnics and of course…the long-awaited FIREWORKS show.

When it comes to fireworks, “Location, Location, Location” can be very important.

Raise your hand if this has happened to you.

Lawn chair (and snacks) in hand, you arrive at your local park – searching, scoping and hunting for the ideal location to stake your claim.

Through the abyss of blankets, chairs and people, you desperately try to find the perfect location, but you keep coming up empty-handed.

It is in that moment you realize that you may have arrived too late, or perhaps you did not take the time you should have to properly research the area – and going back to your car is looking more appealing by the minute.

Just when you have almost given up any hope of finding your perfect piece of lawn-turf, you see someone frantically waving their arms in your direction.

Could it be?

Yes!

It IS your friend… your neighbor… your trusted ally!

And best of all….they have saved YOU a spot of their prime-turf real estate!

At this point, you may be reading this post and wondering how finding the ideal location for your lawn chair relates to the home building process.

We are glad you asked!

In most cases, we all are searching, scoping and hunting for our perfect piece of the time-honored American Dream – good ole’ fashioned Homeownership.

Building a new home can be much like staking your claim on the Fourth of July.

Research, planning and timely arrival are paramount in a successful consummation.

In addition, when you have a trusted ally who is looking out for you along the way, and who is committed to your goals – it can make all the difference in your overall experience.

At American Heritage Homes, we are committed to being that ally and we would be honored to help you stake your claim.

From our home to yours……Happy Independence Day!

Client Testimonials
  • The AHH team just completed our house in Hurricane in August, 2016 and they did an excellent job. We live in California and when we started the building process, we heard all the horror stories about trying to build a house ""long distance"" but AHH made sure that none of that happened. There were a few hiccups along the way but that's to be expected for this type of project. Communication is the key factor for a successful job like this and, even for the hiccups, they were on top of it all the way.
And one more sign of a professional organization is that, even now, after the job is done, they are just as responsive to our needs and questions as before. They really do care to do a good job!
We can't say enough good things about AHH and their professional staff and will recommend them to anyone who want to build a home in our area.
